Terms & Conditions – BetaGeeks
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in BetaGeeks, a tester community and portal operated by EnfusionX. By applying to become a tester, accessing the portal, or accepting testing assignments, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to participate in BetaGeeks.
- You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information in your application and profile.
- Your access to the BetaGeeks portal is personal to you. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- We reserve the right to approve, reject, or disable tester accounts at our discretion, including where we detect misuse, non-compliance, or suspicious activity.
2. Tester Responsibilities
- You agree to follow the instructions provided for each assignment, including test scope, deadlines, and reporting format.
- You must not share test materials, credentials, or internal information with anyone outside of the designated project channels (e.g., approved WhatsApp group, portal).
- You must not use assignments to attempt to harm, compromise, or exploit the applications being tested or the systems they run on.
- You are responsible for ensuring that participation in BetaGeeks is allowed under your local laws and any existing agreements or employment contracts.
3. Confidentiality
Many assignments will involve access to non-public information, including unreleased products, designs, or features. You agree to:
- Treat all project information as confidential unless clearly stated otherwise.
- Not disclose screenshots, recordings, or details of assignments publicly or to third parties.
- Use shared credentials or access only for the purposes of the specific assignment.
4. Payments
- Each assignment will indicate an expected payment amount, currency, and conditions (such as completion and quality of feedback).
- Payments are recorded in the BetaGeeks portal and may be made via bank transfer, digital wallet, or other agreed methods, depending on your region.
- You are responsible for any taxes or reporting obligations related to payments you receive as a tester.
- We may withhold or adjust payments in cases of fraud, misrepresentation, or failure to deliver work as agreed.
5. Use of WhatsApp and Communication Channels
We use WhatsApp groups and other channels to coordinate assignments and share updates. By participating, you agree to:
- Keep communication professional and respectful.
- Not share spam, abusive content, or unrelated promotions.
- Respect the privacy and contact details of other testers and stakeholders.
6. Intellectual Property
- All software, designs, and materials you access as part of assignments remain the property of EnfusionX or its clients.
- Your testing feedback, reports, and suggestions may be used by EnfusionX and its clients to improve their products. By submitting feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it.
7. Acceptable Use of the Portal
- You agree not to attempt to bypass security or access data belonging to other testers.
- You agree not to use automated tools to scrape or overload the BetaGeeks portal or related systems.
- We may suspend or terminate access where we detect misuse, abuse, or activity that threatens the stability or security of the platform.
8. Termination
- You may stop participating in BetaGeeks at any time by discontinuing use of the portal and notifying us if you wish your account to be closed.
- We may suspend or terminate your participation at any time, including for breach of these Terms, inactivity, or operational reasons.
- Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that have already arisen, including payments for completed assignments where you remain eligible.
9. Limitation of Liability
BetaGeeks is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, EnfusionX is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the portal or participation in assignments. Our total liability for any claim related to BetaGeeks will be limited to the total amount paid to you as a tester in the 6 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of BetaGeeks after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
